Shieldaig Shellfish take delivery of new 9.98m x 3.7m Cheetah.
Kenneth Livingstone of Shieldaig Shellfish Ltd has taken delivery of his new 9.98 x 3.7 Cheetah for commercial fishing. Very much fitted out to his own specification, this Cheetah is powered by twin Selva 100hp 2.6 litre extra long shaft engines. Built to pass Seafish regulations the 300 litres of fuel are housed above deck.
Hauling is in the hands of a one ton Spencer Carter hydraulic power pack, fitted under deck.In the moulded hauler box are all the necessary accessories including an auto fire extinguisher.The deck shoot incorporates the fuel system including water separators for each engine, filler and breather.
Stainless steel rails, double height at the stern for pot storage were constructed in house.As were the davit and folding roof mast gantry. LED lighting is fitted for navigation, internal and deck lights.
A diesel powered Wallace hob, with a hot air vent completes the port side galley.Six coats of Coppercoat anti foul will give hull protection for some years.
Kenny said ”We have not been fishing yet but as soon as I saw the boat, I was very, very pleased”.
