Sea Safari Steals the Show
A busy week post Seawork: 3 confirmed orders, many demonstrations and 12 sharks aboard for Andrew
The Cheetah fleet has returned back to Cheetah HQ after a hugely successful Seawork last week. 9m 'Sea Safari' ran almost continuous demonstrations of SeaStar’s Optimus 360 Joystick Control System helmed by Sean. The finger pontoons and limited space in the inner exhibitor area proved an ideal setting to really test the manoeuvrability afforded by Optimus 360. Spectators within all sectors of the marine industry were impressed by the flexibility of the system which was a retrofit to Sea Safari in March. In addition to a new order for an 8m commercial fishing catamaran, the Cheetah team welcomed many potential customers aboard the three Cheetahs on display, some visitors having already organized trips over to the Ventnor workshops for sea trials from the south coast of the island.
We would like to thank all our suppliers and sponsors including SeaStar, Hypro Marine, Simrad, Honda and Suzuki as well as the superb team at Seawork for organizing another extremely successful show.
Great news from our Welsh friends following the trio of Cheetah which arrived on the west coast earlier in the spring. Andy Alsop of Whitewater Charters sent us this text with a photo of his catch.
Andy Alsop, Whitewater Skipper 'The new Cheetah has sunk her teeth into Blue and Porbeagle sharks. With only our first two trips from Milford under our belts and 12 sharks boated. We just hit the headlines again with this big boy, a 235.4lb male porbeagle which is my best catch and release porgie. The Cheetah is the best shark boat I have gone to sea with. Nice one, Sean, Lucy, Keith, Barry and your Cheetah team.'
