Cheetah Stealth Style
This latest 9.7m walkaround is delivered to lifelong fisherman, Laurent Condou of Arcachon Bay on the west coast of France. Furtif 3, meaning Stealth, powers Laurent’s international clientele straight to the casting zone at a seriously rated west coast fishing spot.
Captain Laurent, better known as Boboss has been fishing for a living since he was 18 and guiding in these waters for over 20 years. After spending time overseas chasing marlin, tuna and swordfish Laurent returned to Arcachon and set up a charter business. He specialises in bass fishing and offers tuna and shark fishing. The Cheetah has been designed and built with this in mind.
Furtif 3 features the popular sportsfishing style walkaround cab, enabling fast access for casting from the side deck and bow when motoring between shoals. Living up to its name, the Cheetah is powered by twin Yamaha 250hp outboards. With winning speeds of 42 knots and a shallow draft Laurent can get into shoals of bass within Arcachon’s networks of sand bars and nutrient rich shallow waters giving customers from all over Europe their chance to hit into shoals.
Laurent uses various techniques, offering bait-fishing over wrecks, trolling for tuna, and probably most popular of all – light-tackle sport for bass. The cab is positioned aft to allow maximum casting room from the bow. Fly fishing is also successful for bass.
Cheetah Marine will exhibiting with Franck Vidal, Cheetah Agent for France and Spain at Le Grand Pavois, La Rochelle from the 28th - 3rd October. More information to follow soon.
