Cheetah Marine Secures Significant Police Boat Contract
Cheetah Marine has secured the contract to produce a £350,000 flagship police boat for the Devon and Cornwall Police force. This contract presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to vital coastal operations by delivering a highly capable, multi-functional vessel tailored to our client’s needs.
The vessel will enhance the police force’s ability to respond to organised immigration crime (OIC) from the water and meet a range of operational requirements, including:
✓ Marine patrols, diving operations, personnel transportation, and support for remotely operated underwater vehicles
✓ High-speed capability of 40 knots+, with the capacity to carry high weight and provide space for specialist equipment
✓ Excellent ride quality, safety features, and protection from extreme conditions
✓ Full compliance with Police Boat Code Category B standards and MCA Category 2
✓ Seating capacity for a full team of 10 personnel
Cheetah Marine’s well-established reputation for building robust and highly capable vessels made them a natural choice for this project.
